Design Lahore 01 Summit is conceived by Rashid Rana along with his colleagues at Mariam Dawood School of Visual Art and Design, BNU, and realised in collaboration with Punjab Walled Cities Authority, Rhode Island School of Design, and IAP. The event packed with Conversations, Exhibitions, Pavilions and site specific Projects, where prominent creative practitioners and visionaries from the industry collaborate to foster a rich and expansive dialogue on Design in the Global South and beyond!

Wave 01
In the initial phase, we embarked on a journey of exploration fueled by a singular dot—a symbol of infinite potential. Through graphical representation, we envisioned the birth of an entire universe, where subtle shifts in opacity and properties sculpted the very essence of the brand’s identity.
Wave 02
Building upon our foundational exploration, we delved deeper into the realm of Design Sensibility, where simplicity met elegance. Drawing inspiration from Urdu script, we uncovered the beauty in diverse compositions, each interaction with the material adding a layer of visual richness. Geometry became our guiding principle, with a perfect square serving as the cornerstone of our logo, infused with architectural sensibility for a distinct aesthetic appeal.
Wave 03
As our journey progressed, we ventured into the realm of underlayering, exploring the endless possibilities it offered. This phase witnessed the emergence of vibrant event colors, breathing life into our brand identity and setting the stage for captivating visual experiences.
Wave 04
In the final phase, we carefully polished every detail of the design, shaping it into a true reflection of perfection. The brand identity came to life in all its brilliance, a symbol of our dedication to excellence. The result is a stunning visual creation that captures the very essence of our project.
